1. Scope of application
These general terms and conditions apply to all information requests, reservation enquiries and binding reservations that are made on web sites and travel portals using the reservation system Hotelgate24.
The Hotelgate24 logo is a registered trademark and brand name of Business Travel International GmbH, Germany.
Business Travel International as a service provider is committed to promoting a safe and secure online experience and we respect the privacy of clients, business partners and travellers. It is our goal to offer detailed information about online transactions to all visitors of our company-owned web sites and portals. In particular, these are:

including the respective country specific domains (e.g. .de, .it, .pl, .ru) and subdomains belonging to Business Travel International.
Additionally, the reservation system Hotelgate24 may be embedded in web sites and travel portals run by business partners of Business Travel International (when in doubt, please consult the "Imprint" or "Masthead" of the respective online offer to find out which company functions as the author and provider of the services). If our reservation system Hotelgate24 is embedded as an online booking engine on the web site of a third party (e.g. one of our partner hotels), these general terms and conditions shall apply only to the actual booking process and reservation, not to information or communication services that may be part of the web site belonging to the third party.
2. Reservation system
The reservation system Hotelgate24 has real-time access to the hotel descriptions, room rates and actual availabilities of the individual hotels. The individual hotels enter and maintain their hotel data and availabilities themselves in the reservation system. Hotel reservations made via the reservation system are effective immediately and binding. Please pay attention to specific contract conditions (e.g. cancellation policy or payment conditions) that are displayed during the booking process.
3. Making reservations
Your binding reservations will be effected directly in the reservation system and the hotels will receive the reservation by email or fax, just as you yourself will receive a reservation confirmation and/or invoice.
Insofar as reservations are made, the reservation system Hotelgate24 may only be used for effectively required hotel bookings, which are subsequently also taken up, and not for fake bookings (e.g. test bookings) or fictitious reservations.
4. Sending reservation enquiries
Your reservation enquiries will be handled by the Hotelgate24 team, which consists of travel managers of Business Travel International. You will receive a quotation directly from your Hotelgate24 team, which acts as an intermediary between you and the individual hotels. If you accept the quotation, the Hotelgate24 team will also place the binding reservation in the reservation system.
5. Accommodation contract
The accommodation contract is formed directly between you and the hotel you have selected, as the reservation is being made. Business Travel International as the provider of the reservation system Hotelgate24 acts solely as an intermediary and is not party to this accommodation contract. Any claims and obligations arising from the accommodation contract must be settled directly between you (the booker) and the individual accommodation provider (hotel).
6. Payment
Payment conditions may vary, depending on individual contract conditions for each reservation. Please pay attention to specific payment conditions as displayed during the reservation process.
Depending on the contract conditions of the individual reservation, Business Travel International as the service provider of the reservation system Hotelgate24 may also handle the actual payment of the total room rates on behalf of the hotel.
In such cases Business Travel International will:
- collect the total room rate from you directly during the reservation process by charging your credit card,
- transfer the total room rate directly to our hotel partner,
- immediately send you a corresponding reservation confirmation and invoice by email.
In other cases your credit card will not be charged directly during the reservation process, but is only required as a guarantee. Then you will pay the total room rate that is confirmed by Hotelgate24 directly at the hotel.
7. Credit card
A valid credit card is required for making hotel reservations via Hotelgate24 as the reservation system of Business Travel International.
Depending on the contract conditions of the individual reservation your credit may be charged with the total room rate during the reservation process, or it may only be required as a guarantee. Please pay attention to specific payment conditions as displayed during the reservation process.
If the specified credit card ceases to be valid between the time the reservation is made and the arrival date, then the hotel or tourism organisation concerned shall be entitled to cancel the reservation at any time without consulting you. You shall not have any entitlement to accommodation in this case.
8. Cancellations
In order to avoid any misunderstandings, all cancellations must be made via the reservation system Hotelgate24. To cancel a reservation, please log into your user account where you will be able to view your personal and reservation details at all times.
Your reservation confirmation will refer to a cancellation policy which needs to be read carefully; up until the cancellation deadline, cancellations can be made free-of-charge. If the reservation is cancelled after this date, then the individual cancellation terms of the individual hotel or tourism organisation shall apply.
Please note that if you make a cancellation directly at the hotel, there is no guarantee that the hotel will inform Business Travel International of this cancellation in time and within the cancellation deadline. Consequently your credit card may be charged with a cancellation fee or - if the hotel fails to inform us about the cancellation - with the total room rate. To avoid this risk please cancel the reservation yourself via Hotelgate24.
In the event of accommodation not being taken up, without any cancellation, the hotel or tourism organisation concerned will charge a cancellation fee to your credit card. The individual cancellation terms of the individual hotel or tourism organisation shall apply.
Please note that the service provider reserves the right to charge a one-time transaction fee of EUR 20, for online reservations that are cancelled.
9. Hotel categories and hotel information
The customary international hotel classification system with stars gives a non-binding indication of the standard of the hotel, as assessed by the hotel itself. All the additional information and descriptions pertaining to the hotel are also based on information from the hotel itself.
Business Travel International as the provider of the reservation system Hotelgate24 cannot give any guarantee regarding the correctness or completeness of the hotel categories and information specified.
10. Room prices
All room rates are specified per room and per night by the individual hotel.
Care has been taken to offering only the lowest and best available rates, as they can be found in the reservation system Hotelgate24 at the time of the booking. Rates are displayed on behalf of the individual hotel.
During the reservation process and in the reservation confirmation, you will receive detailed specifications as to whether additional services or charges (e.g. service charge, VAT, meals) are included in the confirmed room rate.
11. Registration and user account
Registration, i.e. the creation of a user account, is required to use the reservation system Hotelgate24. During the reservation process you will be asked to either provide the login details to an existing user account, or you will have the opportunity to open a new user account. Please take care to remember your login details and protect these login details, thus preventing third parties from accessing your account. Members of Hotelgate24 or Business Travel International will not ask you for the login details to your account at any time.
To delete your user account including all personal data and to end your registration with Hotelgate24, please send an email to it [ at ] bti-hotels [ dot ] com.
12. Privacy and personal data
Personal data stored may include: name, adress, email address and other contact details. This information is required to initiate a contractual relationship, i.e. to open a user account and to make a reservation via Hotelgate24.
Your personal data will not be made available to any third parties, unless Business Travel International is legally obligated to provide the respective information. Additional data related to your online activities or accommodation preferences will only be stored in anonymous form and not as part of your personal data, so as to enable us to improve the functionality and usability our online services continuously.
Your personal data will be stored in the databases of Business Travel International for the purpose of making the data available to you or for the purpose of transfering the data to the respective contract partner who is party to the accommodation contract (the hotel).
If you wish check which data we have stored about you, or if you wish to view this personal data, please log into your account on Hotelgate24 or send an email to it [ at ] bti-hotels [ dot ] com. This service is always free of charge.
13. Cookies
Cookies are small information units created by your web browser during the reservation process and temporarily stored on your local computer. They contain a session ID and expire shortly after you have used the reservation system Hotelgate24.
We are using cookies to improve your online experience, to facilitate easy navigation within the online booking engine, and to prevent you from having to repeatedly enter your search terms and accommodation preferences. We do not use tracking cookies that monitor your online behavior even after you have left Hotelgate24.
Generally web browsers will accept cookies automatically, but you have full control and can also set your browser to ask for confirmation or to deny cookies. Cookies that have already been stored on your local computer (e.g. in temporary files) can be erased by you at any time.
14. Miscellaneous
All the data has been compiled with the greatest possible care. No liability can be assumed, however, for any errors during data capture or data transmission.
The inclusion of data in other data carriers, including excerpts of the data, or the use of the data for purposes other than those intended here, is only permitted with the expressed written permission of Business Travel International or Classic International Hotels as the provider of the reservation system Hotelgate24.
BTI reserves the right to render services alternate form the contractual agreement if the original services are not available due to reasons caused or not caused, anticipated or not anticipated by BTI as long as the alterations cannot be considered as unreasonable. An upgrade regarding the hotel category is considered as a reasonable alteration at any time as long as the alteration was done within a radius of a maximum of 15km. BTI is a mediator of services; claims for compensation concerning the stay in a hotel (and similar establishments) shall be directed to the immediate services provider (hotel/ similar establishment).
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
German law shall apply. The place of jurisdiction shall be Dusseldorf, Germany.
